The Engineering Co is a Hawke's Bay based team of eleven.
We are an owner-operated business with a lot of history.
John Foot began Foot Engineering Services back in 2000, it was then taken over by Brian Stanaway in 2013.

During that time, Dan Tong completed his apprenticeship under John, and moved on to become foreman, followed by Operations Manager for around five years.
From April 01 2021, Dan and wife Rosie took over from Brian to own the business, and with it, a brand new name: The Engineering Co [HB] Limited.

The Engineering Co [HB] Ltd are Hawkes Bay's on site specialists with a fully mobile 'rolling workshop' set up to head anywhere in the HB region.

At our core, we are here to keep your business running, carrying out repairs with the least downtime possible.

While we aren't doing the mahi to get you back up and running, we are providing solutions through custom fabrication, machine guarding and large scale maintenance such as machinery re-builds.

Our Dunlop Road workshop is fully equipped to service general engineering, in-house machining, new/custom fabrication, portable line boring, and cater to your certified welding needs.

In addition to our engineering capabilities, Dan is a certified Yarder Tower Inspector, carrying out annual hauler tower inspections for much of the Hawke's Bay region.
